I like, am into, moved by, transformed by, have the calling for… working with sound. With sound and music. Building layers, climates, spaces, moments related (or not) to characters. And song lyrics, or maybe simple abstraction.
I love working with sounds.
The way they mix and morph, how one sound becomes another, how they keep each other company, disturb each other, coexist, form worlds we can inhabit, where we can think, feel…
In a film, the way sounds go with the characters’ different moments, with places, palpable colors, malleable times. I like to accompany, but also to create counterpoint, add layers, levels of message, of information, blend reason and emotion to bring about new dimensions. Complement, complete, invent images.
That’s what I like to do.
